【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtodeterminethemoistureandvolatilecontentoffats,oils,andfatliquorsusedinthesofteningandstuffingofleather.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthepercentageofwaterandothercompoundsvolatileatabout100176Cexistinginasampleofsulfonatedorsulfatedoil,orboth,byrapidevaporation.Thistestmethodisapplicableonlytosulfonatedandsulfatedoilsthatdonotcontainthefollowing:mineralacids,freesulfonicacidsorfreesulfuricacidesters,ammonia,aceticacidorsimilarvolatileacids,alkalihydroxides,carbonates,acetatesorsimilarsaltsthatmayreactwitholeicacidatelevatedtemperaturesliberatingvolatileacids,orglycerin,diethyleneglycol,xylene,orothercompoundsofsimilarvolatility.ThistestmethodwasderivedfromTestMethodsD500,Sections10through14.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
