【摘要】:ThispartofISO13885describesthedeterminationofthemolar-massdistribution,number-averagemolarmassMnandmass-averagemolarmassMwofpolymersthataresolubleinTHF(tetrahydrofuran)bygelpermeationchromatography(GPC)I).Itispossiblethat,inspiteofthegoodrepeatabilityobtainedwiththismethod,itcannotbeusedwithcertainpolymertypesbecauseofspecificinteractions,suchasadsorptionwithinthesample/eluentJcolumnsystem.Themethodisnotanabsoluteoneandrequirescalibrationwithcommerciallyavailableunbranched-polystyrenestandardsthathavebeencharacterizedbyabsolutemethods.Theresultsforsamplesofpolymersotherthanpolystyrenearethereforeonlycomparablewithingroupsofsamplesofthesametype.TheconditionsspecifiedinthispartofISO13885arenotsuitablefortheGPCanalysisofpolymersampleswith.~/wvaluesgreaterthan106(seeAnnexC).Nocorrectionmethods,e.g.fortheeliminationofpeakbroadening,areincludedinthispartofISO13885.Ifabsolutemolar-massvaluesarerequired,anabsolutemethod,e.g.membraneosmometryfor.UnorlightscatteringforMw,mustbeused.
