【摘要】:ThispartISO11140specifiestheperformanceforaClass2indicatortobeusedasanalternativetotheBowieanDick-typetestforsteamsterilizersforwrappedhealthcaregoods(instruments,etc,.andporousloads).NOTETheBowieandDick-typetestisusedforroutinetestingofsteamsterilizersandvalidationofsteamsterilizationprocesses.AnindicatorcomplyingwiththispartofISO11140incorpotatesaspecifiedmaterialwhichisusedasatestload.Thistestloadmay,ormaynot,bere-usable.ThispartofISO11140doesnotspecifyrequirementsforthetestload,butspecifiedtheperformanceoftheindicatorincombinationwiththetestloadwithwhichitisintendedtobeused.TheindicatorspecifiedinthispartofISO11140isintendedtoidentifypoorsteampenetrationbutdoesnotnecessarilyindicatethecauseofthispoorsteampenetration.ThispartofISO11140doesnotincludetestmethodstoestablishthesuitabilityoftheseindicatorsystemsforuseinsterilizersinwhichtheairremovalstagedoesnotincludeevacuationbelowatmosphericpressure.
